Dwelling in Hope: The power of what we expect and believe

#305 Dwelling in Hope: The power of what we expect and believe Psalm 62.5
Experiences continue to challenge my views of what really would be best to happen…
I got caught up again in dwelling in my strong preferences and opinions. The LORD has brought to my attention the fact that what I dwell on, where I live in my thinking and choices determines the degree of peace and protection I experience.
I choose God and the Hope He has given us.
Romans 12:12 His Hope empowers us to rejoice!
2 Corinthians 3:12 His hope empowers us to choose to be bold in expression.
1 Thessalonians 4:15 His hope does not take sorrow away, but empowers us experience that sorrow differently, in view of What We Know of God and His Plan.
Hebrews 6:11-12 Full assurance of hope until the end empowers us to be ENTHUSIASTIC & ACTIVE, not sluggish: Strong’s #3576 nothros: sluggish, lit lazy, fig stupid; [Sluggish: Displaying little movement or activity; lacking alertness, vigor or energy; slow to perform or respond to stimulation. Webster’s Dictionary]
Hebrews 6:17-18 The hope He has given us is a sure and steadfast anchor and stability to the soul.
1 John 3:3 His hope inspires us to surrender to God’s purifying intentions.
Colossians 1: 27 It is our personal relationship with Christ and the power and personal experience of our anointing that gives us HOPE of glory, expectation and confidence in the glorious blessings now and in glory, as part of His Cause to bless all people.
So if we are battling discouragement, timidity, if we are getting lost in our sorrow, if we are feeling unmotivated, if the storms of life have caught us off balance and we are driven by old ways of thinking, we can ask ourselves
What is the expectation am I dwelling in?
“My soul, wait thou only upon God;
For my expectation is from Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense: I shall not be moved.” Psalm 62:5-6
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1
Fear is dwelling in my limited opinions and resources.
Hope is dwelling in the outcome and resources of God.
