If you Trust Me, Let Go

Good Morning!
I sometimes struggle with the fear of legal issues coming up due to employee anger and disagreement regarding our employment decisions. I need to seek God’s guidance step by step, take the actions that we see are righteous and fair based on His leading and principles, and go forward in confidence. I was strongly reminded that the outcome is GOD’S business, and my great treasure. Focusing on that gives me peace.
Much love in Christ,
Joy
#254 If You Trust Me Let Go 1 Peter 4.12
Peter talks about the fiery trial that test us. 1 Peter 4:12 “…dear friends of mine, I beg you not to be unduly alarmed at the fiery ordeals which come to test your faith, as though this were some abnormal experience.” A “fiery ordeal” is a test that is meant to destroy something. There is a valuable question we can ask ourselves in each trial and testing: What is it that needs to be ‘destroyed’ or let go of? One sister pointed out that on some level the answer is always the same: we need to let go of our control. A brother at the General convention shared the illustration of the hiker that slipped on a mountain road, and was able to grab onto some roots before pummeling to his death. Holding on with all his might he dangled on the edge of a cliff. And then he pleaded with a loud voice, “God, if you are there, please help me.!” And God answered, “If you trust me let go.” And the man replied: “Is there anyone else up there?” The man did not know that there was a ledge just a foot below his dangling feet.
The whole crux of our consecration is that the will of God be done in every facet of our lives. We are able to fulfill HIS purpose for us only when we hear God’s voice and base our thinking and actions on His Words of promise, truth and perspective. What does the LORD want us to let go of in the midst of testing? Our control: our way of thinking and labeling the experience, ie “if this happened it would be terrible;” “this would be too hard for me to deal with;” “I could never deal with that.”
Whose voice am I listening to? I need to let go of fear of a law suit and accept that whatever His will is, He will be with me through it. His purpose is for Deliverance in our lives, and eventually in the lives of all our human family, to His glory. May we focus on the voice of God in awe and gratitude, assured of His guidance, strength and vision. “…and the third day he will rise again.” Luke 18:33
“Yet all that was gain to me, for Christ’s sake I have reckoned as loss. Nay, I even reckon all things as pure loss because of the priceless privilege of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.…to know him and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death, if by any means I may arrive at the resurrection of the dead.” Philippians 3:7-11 Weymouth/King James
Let go of “this would be too hard to deal with.”
The greatest outcome of any experience is the will of God.
The greatest treasure of life is the relationship and purpose of God and Christ fulfilled in our lives, by whatever means.
Focus on this treasure and there is strength to go forward in confidence.
