#699 Looking Back on Lessons in this Past Year Part 2
Then the Brother share this: 2. “We encounter many experiences over which we seem to have little, or no control. While doing the best we can to improve each circumstance, give the experience over to the Father completely. To the extent we can do this, we will find rest of heart and peace of mind in even the most stressful circumstances. These are all opportunities to increase our faith and trust in the power of the Father and the Son to help us moment-by-moment.”
This reminded me of thoughts shared recently on the question “What is that in your hand?”—God’s question to Moses when He was very concerned with WHAT IF they don’t believe you sent me: (Exodus 4:1-2) When I am experiencing fear and concern, or a WHAT IF, it helps to hear the Lord asking me this question: What is in your hand? What is in your power? What is in your control? He is able to reveal the next step to us, and we are responsible to obey, and HE will overrule the outcome. (Exodus 4:3)
It helps me so much to keep focused on the one next thing in my power according to His will, rather than focusing and worrying about things beyond my sphere of power.
