
#609 A Night Journey to Peace Part 2
I mentioned how in the middle of the night praying scripture along with slow deep breathing and making a conscious effort to relax all muscles helped bring me from anxiety to peace.
A dear Sister sent these verses and a Reprint quote in response:
Prov 3:24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
3:25 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
3:26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

Rockwell) “.... it is impossible to grow properly without breathing aright...... the new creature, the new man, in order to develop along spiritual lines properly must breathe deeply of the holy Spirit of the Lord. Many breathe only on the upper surface. If we breathe properly we find in the course of time that our spiritual life is enlarged. Deep breathing tends to enlarge capacity for breathing. So then, dear friends, let us bear these things in mind--let us strive in all ways to be filled with the spirit of love.” Thank you Sister Betty!
These thoughts show the full import and spiritual counterpart to the literal deep diaphragm breathing that helps calm the sympathetic nervous system! As we breathe deeply of the Holy spirit we are spiritually energized to bear all the fruits of the spirit. O may our capacity for spiritual deep breathing continue to grow— that we may be filled with all the fullness of Him. “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:16-19
Col 3.23 Whatever you do, do it heartily (#5590 psuche: the breath, the soul)— the breath that makes us FULL OF LIFE—for the Lord.
O may my thought be full of Life thoughts, not drama thoughts or negative thoughts that sap the life out of me.
O may my actions be full of Life actions, reflections of Your Love.
