Can the theory of "being born a sinner" and the theory of "age of accountability" exist at the same time? How and why?
If we are born sinners (original sin) then there's no point in the age of accountability because it's too late. We're already sinners. And if we're not accountable for sin until a certain age, then "original sin" is out too because we were clean up to a certain age
Answer:
1Co_15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
Rom_5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
We are all born in sin—through Adam’s disobedience. We are all contaminated and die because of Adam. Jesus’ death and ransom (of his perfect human body—”my flesh I give for the world”) offset Adam’s penalty (eternal death)
All of mankind will eventually benefit from Jesus’ ransom. “to be testified in due time” 1 Tim 2:5, 6
The age of accountability is something different. It has nothing to do with Adam’s sin. If a person beats up or murders another—that is not Adam’s sin-but their own. They will have to atone themselves for that sin against another. Either in this life (especially if they are a Christian) or in the next (the Kingdom)
The thought that we are born pure or perfect is erroneous and violates the doctrine of the Ransom. It was invented because people don’t understand the resurrection or the Ransom and don’t want babies to go to hell or some other place.
Jesus died for everyone and everyone (baby, unbeliever etc.) will get a resurrection. They will come back in the Kingdom we as Christians pray for. Unfortunately a lot of Christians don’t even know anything about the Kingdom they pray for.
