#449 Delight in His Delight Isaiah 61.10
Isaiah 61:10 I delight greatly in the LORD;
“My soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”
‘As a bridegroom adorns his head…like a bride adorns herself with jewels.’
The attitude of heart described here is one of anticipation and excitement.
He has clothed us with deliverance and with righteousness in the spirit
of the excitement and celebration of a marriage…
He delights to see us clothed in purity and deliverance!
He is delighted to identify us so clearly with deliverance and purity.
Thank you Lord, for Your Delight on our behalf.
May we Delight in Your Delight for our dear Brothers and Sisters.
Its amazing how he can bring us from brokenness to Beautiful…
It happens when we are convicted of our justification,
our true standing before Him, in Christ, our standing of innocence. Romans 5:1-2
It happens when we are sanctified by the washing of the water by the Word,
when He fills us with his truth and perspective. Ephesians 5:25-27!
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good words,
which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
May we SEE the workmanship He is accomplishing…in ourselves and in others…
and rejoice in the glory this brings to our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus, able to bring beauty out of brokenness!
May we rejoice in the their joy over the beauty of their workmanship in us!
