Why did God hate Esau from the Womb?
Why did God hate Esau from the Womb?
Please read Romans 9:10-13. Also, Jeremiah 1:4-5. GOD knows all of us no doubt since all Souls belong to him Ezekiel 18:4.

Did some praying and mediating on these verses. I will give my thoughts on them.
Rom 9:10-13 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;
11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
Notice the comment: not yet born, neither having done any good or evil. Neither Jacob or Esau had done anything good or evil because they were not yet born.
There is no past sins from a past life accounted to them, because the Bible doesn’t teach past lives or reincarnation like the pagan religions do. We only have one life. Only Jesus had a prehuman existence.
That the purpose of God according to the election might stand.
The “election” is that God chose one above the other –not based on anything one or the other did. It was God’s choice to exalt Jacob’s line and not Esau’s.
No destiny is implied in this verse as the calling and election of this verse are not the high calling, but merely a selection by a sovereign God. The only calling at the time of Jacob and Esau were of who was going to be the promised nation and receive the promises of Abraham. God chose Jacob.
12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
Before they were born, Rebekah was given this prophecy.
Gen 25:23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
This verse relates to the brothers still in the womb.
13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
“As is it is written” This statement was written over a century after the Esau was born by the prophet Malachi. This statement was not uttered while they were still in the womb.
Mal 1:2-3 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob, 3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
Paul was quoting Malachi, he was not saying God said that He hated Esau from the womb.
God's love for Jacob is a consequence of Jacob's appreciation of his spiritual birthright, secured from Esau who did not value it. God foreknew the disposition of Jacob and thus could specify to Rebecca that he would be favored above his brother.
When Malachi says "And I hated Esau," the remainder of the text explains this. God "laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness." The prophecy of Obadiah is about Edom, explaining their problems and the judgments of God against them because of it. So God's conduct toward Edom was not arbitrary. It was a consequence of their sin. "And I hated Esau" was not said as something prophetic before the birth of the twins. It was something said centuries later by Malachi.
Paul later explains that it is God who does the calling—no man can come to Jesus except God call him. So, it is not of the will of man, and we can do anything to come into Christ unless God calls. That is God’s decision not ours on who is called. Again this is talking about the calling and not the destiny—there is no predestination of people.
These verses do not teach:
“Those chosen were not chosen for anything they do in this world that is. It is because judgment took place in the world that was. Each soul earned its place during the spiritual battle when Lucifer first fell away in the world that was, or before Adam was. There were 7,000 that held the line firm and remained with God and at that time they earned the right to be the elect. We have a fair and loving God. Now it would appear unfair to say I hate a child that is yet in the womb, but you see it was from what happened before.” (This is a teaching of Arnold Murray)
This is a very false and dangerous teaching that has no scripture to back it up. This theory espouses reincarnation and makes void the ransom.
Jer 1:4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Jer 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
This is true, but has nothing to do with Esau.
