#713 Finding Stability
I recently had the experience of so many challenges and unknowns at work and in life that it seemed like ‘Things aren’t falling apart.’ But the truth is things aren’t falling apart, things are falling into place, according to His will.
The puzzle in life may look like a random heap, but He knows how to piece the pieces of the puzzle. We are just in the process of discovering and trusting in His outcome, and we need to pray for to know how to think and what to do, one piece at a time.
“He shall be the stability of your times,
A wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge;
The fear of the LORD is his treasure.” Isaiah 33.16
In unstable times it is helpful to focus on What We Know—His Unfailing Love and faithfulness, instead of what we don’t know.
“A wealth of salvation:” In unstable times it is helpful to realize the wealth and abundant Provision of salvation--deliverance and victory and of wisdom and knowledge;
A wealth of “wisdom and knowledge:” the wisdom and knowledge of Divine Perception, Insight and Truth available to us as we open our hearts to His Word and Truth;
“The fear of the LORD is his treasure:” In unstable times it is helpful to practice being in His Presence in Awe and Reverence.
Romans 12:2 May we continue, empowered by His spirit, to renew our minds, so that we will prove, test and approve what His will is. Whatever our circumstance, His will is
Good—beneficial;
Acceptable—fully agreeable, and we are fully willing to accept the Cup;
and Perfect—complete, ie lacking nothing, dove-tailed and perfectly fitted for our Highest good and growth and blessing.
“He shall be the stability of your times:” We don’t need to rely on a certain outcome for stability…HE is the stability of our times.
