#542 Freedom from the Trap of Old Thinking Part 1
“Free me from the trap that is set for me, for You are my refuge.” Psalm 31:4
One of the traps that can be set to ensnare us can be the patterns of our own old-thinking.
He has promised to teach and guide us with His eye: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.” Psalm 33.8 He will Instruct—to cause or make us circumspect—to see all around—empowered to make decisions with awareness of and trust in His big picture.
He will teach us in the way—the road, course, which we need to choose to walk.
He will guide us with His eye of wisdom and total awareness upon us. Imagine the Eye that has 20/20 vision to Eternity! Imagine this wisdom, totally attentive to our needs, being exercised for guidance on our behalf.
Teach me Thy way, O LORD,
Surely I will walk in Thy Truth—faithfulness, certainty, trustworthiness--
Unite my heart to fear Thy name—Join all the parts of my heart—transform every habit of thought, affection and attachment to be renewed through reverence for Who You Are. Psalm 86:11
