Holy Ground: Accepting the Mission

Good morning!
I felt unqualified to deal with a long list of employee and life issues. I questioned if I should even be doing this job. As I was talking to God about this, I received an answer. Seek His step by step guidance. If I am led by God, what greater qualification could there be? 2 Corinthians 3:4-6
Much love in Christ,

#252 Holy Ground: Accepting the Mission Exodus 3:10
“Then He said, ‘Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.’”
Take off your shoes. This was a custom known to Moses as it was practiced by the priests in the temples of Egypt. To remove shoes was a personal admission of defilement and unworthiness to stand before pure holiness. (JFB) It is a grounded admission of humility and awe before God. Just as in the case of Isaiah after his vision of the LORD, the humility and sense of personal overwhelm is followed by divine direction and a mission. Isaiah 6:1-11
“And the LORD said, ‘I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings…So I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptians…Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.’” Exodus 3:7-10
God is aware of the suffering caused by sin and death. He is aware of our every experience. God Himself is waiting and working to bring about an Exodus of deliverance in our current experience. The greatest Exodus of all time will soon bring deliverance from sin and death to all our human family. Romans 8:20-21
When we take off our shoes in humility and awe we are ready to see the far reaching purposes of God. We are empowered to trust in His awareness and His ability to lead us, to use us and to accomplish the deliverance of our mission.
When assailed by doubt we must be clear about:
The certainty of God’s presence and resources--verse 12a
His outcome--verse 12b
The power of the name of God--verses 14-15,
The personal concern of God about the issue--verse 16
God’s awareness of the obstacles--verses 18-19
God’s divine ability and power to deal with every obstacle --verse 20
The outcome of blessing amid seemingly impossible odds--verse 21-22
Like Moses our list of doubts may continue. It is our privilege to come boldly before the throne of grace and to be honest about whatever we are grappling with. Exodus 4:1-16 He is able to provide whatever signs and support we may need to fulfill His purpose.
What purpose does He have for us today? And how does that fit in with our mission?
We can go forward into our life with His mission and purpose as our vision and inspiration.
No matter how daunting the challenge we can go forward in His confidence.
