Question: How can the Gospel transform individuals and the society today?
The Bible is the “Living Word”
Hebrews 4:12 TPT **For we have the living Word of God, which is full of energy**, and it pierces more sharply than a two-edged sword. It will even penetrate to the very core of our being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet! It interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of our hearts.
It can only transform a person if they want to be transformed. Peter tells us to add things to our faith. So, we have a work in our transforming.
Paul tells us to:
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
It can’t transform society “Today”, but it will transform society in the Kingdom, when God’s will is done on the earth as it is done in heaven.
The gospel is designed only to call out of society, those whom God wants to be part of the Bride of Christ.
The work of the world is for the next age—when those called, chosen and faithful will be kings and priests. Over who? Over the rest of mankind (all the way back to Adam), as they bring them up the highway of holiness (Isa. 35:8), at that time all will know the Lord.
Jer_31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Just as in the creative days—each day had a different function preparing for the next day.
So, in the dispensations of the “Present Evil World”, each dispensation prepares for the next. We are in the “End Times” that is we are in the last dispensation of the “Present Evil World” Matthew 24 calls it the “end of the world”—world meaning “age”.
This “end times” is preparing the world for the Kingdom to come: The completion of the Church and the destruction of the present society. So, we see through prophecies that this society will not be transformed, but destroyed and replaced. Then Jesus and his Bride will reign in their Kingdom. Mankind will be brought to God through that Kingdom and not before.
