#485 How To Be a Refuge Like Him -- Song of Songs 8.7 Part 2
Create in us this depth of commitment, this sanctified listening that searches to understand, and that seeks to assure what is understood and seeks to respond to what is understood. James 1:9
Mould our hearts to be a refuge for one another, part of our new creature instinct.
The love of Christ provides a refuge through waters of challenge and sometimes overwhelming difficulty. This love is shed abroad in our hearts, a love which gives all its riches, and is often misunderstood. Romans 5:5-8; Philippians 2:5-8 Empower us with this love for one another, to weather the storms of life and relationship.
Teach us to be part of the shelter from difficulty instead of part of the storm of criticism and negativity.
Teach us to speak with appropriate honesty spoken with deepest respect, according to Your leading.
Seek not to fix, but to be led to speak and act according to the need as They see it.
Help us to see each relationships through Your Tenacious Love especially when we feel hurt.
His love that sees the best despite the sinner-flaw;
He sees the inner heart, I praise in humble awe;
He chose the Calvary Cross to purchase for us all
the right to heal and bless:
Tenacious Love
His love that sees my life as innocent through him.
His love that finds the way to heal my heart from sin.
His patient conquering pow’r to calm the storm within
delights to heal and bless:
Tenacious Love
Your love transforms my heart to see beyond the flaw,
to know your love for others imprisoned by the Fall;
to pray for inner healing and trust your work in awe,
to long to heal and bless:
Tenacious Love
