#540 “Look up and Let Go”
Psalm 34:3 “O magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together.”
Magnify the LORD: we want to make Him bigger than any challenge that looms before us. Surely HE is bigger and more powerful than any Goliath we face! 1 Samuel 17:45 “Then said David to the Philistine, ‘Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.’ ”
Let us exalt His name together. To exalt means to raise high:
He gets the highest honor, the highest praise, the greatest amount of our attention.
“Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10 We know that this Psalm is a prophecy of the realization to dawn upon all our human family after the Time of Trouble is over, when each one will realize in their hearts The greatness of His power and the depths of His love—when all the nations will exalt the Father and our Lord Jesus in their hearts. Isaiah 35; Philippians 2:9-11
But what a blessing to personalize Psalm 46:10 for ourselves NOW.
Be still: Quiet your mind, quiet your over-focus on the obstacle, quiet your fears.
Know that I am God: Know that I am Mighty on your behalf;
I will be exalted in all the earth: Exalt me right now in your heart right now!
He is the MOST HIGH GOD; let us see Him as exactly that: Most High, Most Holy, Most Loving, Most Powerful on our behalf!
My brother shared a phrase that fits in here: Look UP and Let Go!
For “The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” Psalm 46:11
