#561-B “My Peace” When We Feel Alone
“Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.” John 14:32
This was peace amid betrayal and the abandonment of no Brotherly earthly support, a peace that ruled his heart because his conviction and focus was on the faithful presence of His Heavenly Father.
We can have his peace amid feelings of rejection and aloneness when faith’s conviction and focus is on Their Faithful presence with us.
We may experience rejection, we may feel alone, yet we are not alone, because the Father and the Son are with us.
“You are those who have stood by me in my trials.” Luke 22:28
May we stand by our Beloved Brethren now in their trials.
“Could you not keep watch with me for one hour?” Matthew 26:40
O Precious Lord Jesus, we have the privilege of keeping watch with you on behalf of one another. And the effect of this conviction and focus to bless our Brethren in their needs is another source of ‘your peace.’
We could not watch with you then, but we can watch with you now.
What incentive to give to our Precious Savior and to one another by standing by one another as we are tested through challenge, used of the LORD to help us realize that we are not alone. Hebrews 10:32-36
