#550 My Heart is Fixed Psalm 57:7
“Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me for my soul takes refuge in Thee; and in the shadow of Your wings will I seek refuge until the destruction passes by.”
There is no safer place to be than under the shadow of His Protective Promises and Providences, active and available for the duration of every challenge! Psalm 57.1
What a privilege to cry out to Him, knowing He hears and responds: ‘I will cry out to God Most High, who accomplishes, performs and completes all things for me.’
He will send the answer from heaven and free me from the reproaches of one who would swallow me up. He will send His Checed Covenant Love and Affection and Truth that reflects His stability and trustworthiness. Psalm 57:2-3; Psalm 18:9-19
“Be exalted above the heavens, O God; let thy glory be above all the earth. Psalm 57:5
Be exalted: I proclaim Your greatness amid every circumstance. You are more powerful than any obstacle, difficulty or person. Romans 8;31, 38-39 And YOU are my Most High priority.
I proclaim this truth in the face of my Goliath. And soon may all the earth proclaim it! Your plan WILL be accomplished in me, and in this world! Zechariah 4:7, Phil 4:9-11
“My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.” Psalm 57:7 Despite the circumstance MY HEART IS FIXED and established. I will not waver or be swayed. I will sing and praise You in the midst of every challenge especially before Your resolution and answer is known to me. Psalm 116:12-17, John 12:27-28
“Awake, my glory; Awake, harp and lyre, I will awaken the dawn!” I have made my choice—my heart is fixed: My glory—the noblest powers of my soul (Barnes), Wake up! Sleep no longer! I will wake up the new day with praise. “My earliest thought I desire shall be what shall I render unto the LORD for all His benefits toward me?” Psalm 116:12-14
What greater reason to start the day with praise and express gratitude for Who He Is and the breadths of His love bestowed on us now and soon to bless all people: “I will give thanks to Thee, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to Thee among the nations. For Thy lovingkindness [Checed Covenant-Committed Love and Affection] is great to the heavens, and Thy truth to the clouds.” Psalm 57:9-10

Our hearts can be fixed, established and determined to praise because He is established and determined in His Faithful Covenant Love.
"Then let our hearts be surely fixed where truest joys are found,
And let our burning, loving praise yet more and more abound...." 5460
