#466 Our Abba Father
”For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again,
but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons
by which we CRY OUT, ‘Abba Father!’” Romans 8:15
“And because you are sons, God has sent forth the spirit of His Son into our hearts,
crying, ‘Abba Father.’” Galations 4:6
The same holy Spirit that led Jesus to claim the depths of this relationship with His Father in Gethsemane, is at work in us, to develop in us the same depth of relationship. Mark 14:36
“Abba: is the word framed by the lips of infants, and betokens UNREASONING TRUST; ‘father’ expresses an intelligent apprehension of the relationship. The two together express the love and intelligent confidence of the child.” Vines
When we are brought through the intense refining fires determined by HIS Unfathomable Wisdom and Love, we are being brought to the NEED and the ABILITY to CRY OUT to our Heavenly Father as ‘Abba Father.’
We are brought face to face to our Abba Father, to a trust that does not have to understand, as well an intelligent appreciation of Who we know Him to be.
To know, love and trust Him in this depth is Amazing Grace and Privilege, worth whatever it takes.
We are thoroughly known, every ‘secret fortress of corruption’ is already known.
We are thoroughly known, thoroughly loved, and His desire is to thoroughly deliver! Psalm 139:1-12!; 23-24!
This is the fruitage of our heights and depths of experiences!
