#544 Our Prayerful Song in the Midst of Whatever Happens
....We have the privilege of STANDING IN AWE BEFORE HIM, in the midst of His Plan unfolding before our eyes.....!!!!
In Revelation 15:2-3 John records seeing a symbolic sea of glass mixed with fire, and that those who proved victorious were standing on the sea of glass, holding harps of God. And they sang the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb.
We need to keep the view from the sea of glass. (Revelation 15:2)
From a letter on R5401: We are symbolically represented as being enabled during that time of trouble to stand upon the sea of glass and to sing the song of Moses and the Lamb, the meanwhile harping upon our harps—making melody from the Word of God and greatly rejoicing therein. R3991
..... to consider the "Sea of glass mingled with fire," on which they stand. Sea, as heretofore explained, we understand to symbolize the masses of the people, and fire, the judgments, or trouble. We therefore interpret this to mean—The people in trouble, under the judgments of God. Above the troubled people are the over-comers—calm, serene, untroubled. Their position shows that their standing is by faith. Matthew 14:29 To the eye of faith all is transparent as glass. R497 (Thank you Sister Betty!)
What a privilege to Sing the Song of Moses and the Lamb, the song of the Finally Victorious Bride, now! Revelation 15:3-4
“Great and marvelous are Thy works, O Lord God, the Almighty;
Righteous and true are Thy ways, Thou King of the nations.”
(I need the strength to sing this in the midst of issues that have come up at work and in life--
that ALL He does, including the challenges in our lives, are part of His great and marvelous tapestry, and His dealings are always righteous and true.)
“Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Thy name? For Thou alone art holy;
For all the nations will come and worship before Thee,
For Thy righteous acts have been revealed.”
We can pray these words of praise NOW: I will fear and reverence You, Lord, and I will glorify Your name, For You alone are holy.
We see the final fruitage when all the nations will come and worship before you.
One day soon the Wisdom of Your choices and judgments in our lives will be fully understood. We will understand fully how all that has happened in our lives is righteous in intent and result, And our whole human family will also fully understand when it is time.
You alone, are set apart as Most High, the Originator of Love and Righteousness, my God and my Father. Your choices in what You overrule and what You permit are Perfect, Wise, Great, Amazing, Righteous and True for Highest Blessing in Eternity.
May we choose to sing this song in the mist of whatever happens.
Amen.
