#343 Passover Perspectives Exodus 12: No Fear
The blood is a token for you Exodus 12:13 “The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.”
Our acceptance of Christ and our desire to apply his delivering power in our lives gives us assurance and confidence in the Mercy and Power of God toward us.
“Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which he inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful…” Hebrews 10:19-23
We have accepted the sacrifice of Christ and its delivering power and we can trust the Mercy and Power of God toward us.
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty….
You will not be afraid of the terror by night,
or of the arrow that flies by day;
of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
or the destruction that lays waste at noon.
A thousand may fall at your side,
and ten thousand at your right hand;
but it shall not approach you.” Psalm 91:1, 5-7
“Consider him…so that you may not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12:3
We have no fear.

“You take him and crucify him. I find no basis for a charge against this man.” Pilate answered.
“According to our law he must die, because he claimed to be the Son of God,” the chief priests and officers insisted.
Pilate felt a surge of fear when he heard these words. He brought Jesus into the Judgment Hall again for one last moment of privacy.
“Who are you?” his voice pleaded, haunted by the strength and quiet majesty that still shone through Jesus bearing and composure despite the brutality of abuse he had experienced. Jesus did not answer. Pilate spoke barely above a whisper. His voice was desperately insistent. “Don’t you know I have the power to set you free?”
Jesus answered. “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above…” John 19:6-11
