Patient with the Process

A dear sister recently wrote: We have had some very difficult trials lately, one after another.
Do you relate? I do.
Repeated trials and testings are very challenging, and they are also a vital and exciting means to an end.
“Repetition of the same thought or physical action develops into a habit which, repeated frequently enough, becomes an automatic reflex.”
“ Whatever we [or GOD] plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality.”
One aspect of overcoming old habits of thought and action is to repeatedly think and do something new.
Much love in Christ,

Patient with the Process Matthew 18.4.5
“Whoever humbles himself as this little child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matt 18:4 Jesus is challenging us to redefine ourselves. Children are naturally very trusting; they are in a developmental state, little sponges, eager to learn. We want the process to be over. We want to have arrived. But even the apostle Paul had the humility to state, “Brethren, I do not count myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do; forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead…” Philippians 3:13 To be humble like a child is to accept the process of learning, and to accept that learning and growth not only takes time and repetition, but will involve a process of making mistakes.
“And whoever receives one such child in my name receives me.” Matthew 18:5 We welcome Jesus when we welcome others who are in the same state of learning. This means accepting that the process of growth and learning in our brethren will take time, repetition, and falling short. “And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32
The business of growing does not happen in a day.
The refining process requires repeated exposure to the fire.
Repeated challenges are the evidence of the Persistence of God.
His persistent love is tenacious, and He is willing to take the time it takes to forge the faith and loyalty of heart that will honor Him for eternity.
Our God has the heart of a Father who loves His child in every stage of development.
“Be patient, therefore brethren, until the presence of the Lord; Lo! The husbandman awaiteth the precious fruit of the earth, having patience for it, until it receive the early and the latter rain; Be ye also patient. Stablish your hearts, because the presence of the Lord hath drawn near.” James 5:7
“Your part is to yield to My creative work, neither resisting it, nor trying to speed it up.
Enjoy the tempo of a God-breathed life by letting Me set the pace.” S Young
“And in the meantime you are guarded by the power of God, operating through your faith, till you enter fully into the salvation which is all ready for the denouement [the outcome or final solution] of the last day. This means tremendous joy to you, I know, even though at present you are temporarily harassed by all kinds of trials and temptations. This is no accident—it happens to prove your faith, which is infinitely more valuable than gold,
And gold, as you know, even though it is ultimately perishable, must be purified by fire. This proving of your faith is planned to result in praise and honor and glory in the day when Jesus Christ reveals himself…” 1 Peter 1:5-7 Phillips
