#625 Paul’s Focus in Prison: In Awe of His Resurrection Power Part 6a
Paul prays that His Brethren will know “the transcendent greatness of His power in us believers as seen in the working of His infinite might when He displayed it in Christ by raising him from the dead and seating Him at His own right hand in the heavenly realms…” Ephesian 1:19-20 Weymouth
How dark and hopeless all seemed when the crucified Lord was laid in the tomb. Until the Resurrection power of God intervened, and “God highly exalted him, and bestowed on him the name which is above every name” with the promise “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:8-11
Embedded in the Season of Spring is the promise and Divine energy of Resurrection Power at work in our lives. Our Heavenly Father has created such resilience in life. Even after the season of winter and dormancy there is a re-awakening of Life and Beauty and Promise of Fruitage. And so in our spiritual life. He created the new creature as resilient, able to endure the Winter Seasons of challenge and even deprivation. 1 Peter 1:3-7, 23-25, 5:10-11 Through the resurrection power of the holy Spirit He breathes new life into our thinking. 2 Corinthians 5:17 He is able to transform anxiety and fear into Trust and Surrender. He is able to transform how we look at “the challenge I would never on our own choose for myself” into “the amazing privilege and opportunity He has tailor made for me, to experience His Power and to bring Glory to His Name.”
“God doesn’t expect the impossible from us. He wants us to expect the impossible from Him!” Dwight L. Moody Matthew 19:23-26; Ephesians 3:20-21
In this Season of Spring, may every sign and bud of growth, and every sprout of green and every splash of color in His Miraculous Creation open our eyes even wider to His Miraculous Resurrection power creating new potential and growth and renewed hope and spiritual beauty in our hearts and lives and in that of our Dear Brothers and Sisters. His Resurrection power defies the confines and darkness of any prison of circumstance. The holy Spirit’s power in our life defies the power of death and darkness and hopelessness! with the power of life!
Spring can be our celebration of His Resurrection power within us, and in due time exercised on behalf of our whole human family for their restoration and their healing. Isaiah 27:6, Isaiah 54:1-3; Isaiah 35
I will close with this prayer—expressed by a Dear Sister:
Lord bless you with the privilege of experiencing the tremendous resurrection power of Christ in your life increasingly!
