#626 Paul’s focus in Prison: Part 6b Resurrection power Beyond Our Comprehension
I have been weeding my flower garden area, and I feel so excited at the potential of color and life that will soon grow there. And it is all through the Creative Life-giving Power of God, which can be a picture of the Resurrection power of the holy Spirit, a power beyond our comprehension.
Even in prison, Paul, he knew the power of the Spirit at work in his life; he was overwhelmed with awe and amazement to begin to grasp the lengths and depths of Divine Love, and he trusted in the power of the holy Spirit to work above all he could ask or think.
“…I pray that out of the glorious richness of his resources he will enable you to know the strength of the Spirit’s inner reinforcement—that Christ may actually live in your hearts by your faith. And I pray that you, firmly fixed in love yourselves, may be able to grasp (with all Christians) how wide and deep and long and high is the love of Christi-and to know for yourselves that love so far beyond our comprehension….
Now to him who by his power within us is able to do infinitely more that we ever dare to ask or imagine—to him be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever, amen!” Ephesians 3:17-21
Amid experiences of feeling trapped or imprisoned by circumstance and uncertainty, let us pray for one another to experience the strength of inner reinforcement through the spirit, and that we will realize the amazing dimensions of the love of Christ. May we focus our prayers and meditations on the Father’s amazing ability and depth of resources and power at work in our lives –beyond all we could imagine—a power that defies all limitation and challenge.
A dear Sister wrote:
“Enjoy your garden, the flowers, and time weeding. The abundance, and variety of flowers and colors, fragrance, and structure all still amaze me. Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as any of the flowers in your garden. We understand garish clothing, but not the intricacies of a flower.”
Both Divine Love and the Resurrection Power of the holy Spirit are able to reach beyond the limitations of our thinking!
And ultimately the result is spiritual Beauty to the glory of our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus.
