#613 Praying for a Word to Give the Weary
It is a privilege to see how Jesus fulfilled Isaiah 50:4-5 in his ministry and especially in his last days, and to claim that verse for ourselves—Dear Father, give me the words of one who is open to be instructed, that I might know the word that would sustain the weary. In these challenging times I have had some wonderful opportunities to’ share a word,’ and I have also missed opportunities because of my own negativity or uneasiness getting in the way.
Am sharing this as a testimony of how we might be able to bless others in these times…
I had a phone conversation at work that led to the privilege of ‘sharing a word.’ I spoke with a customer who was having some invoice questions. I also asked her how things were going for her in the challenging times we are experiencing. We shared a few comments, and I told her that these are hard times, and I thought that some really good things were going to follow these troubling experiences, that I like the Bible, and there are a lot of prophesies that show the good things that will happen for ALL people—everyone…etc She said she really likes the Bible too. I asked her if I could send her some encouraging thoughts, and she said yes. This is what I emailed to her. (As an owner of our family business, I exercised the liberty to have this communication.)
Below is a polished rendition of what was sent.
And her email in response to what was sent warmed my heart: “This is great, thank you!”
Dear Amanda,
Hoping the balance info is clear now, I know it can be confusing when there are deposits.
On a personal note, when we talked last week I mentioned sending you some thoughts that were full of hope in these challenging times.
We will hold on to our faith!

Better than the Barnyard!
“He will cover you with His pinions and under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.” Psalm 91:4
I am reminded, as a baby chick in the barnyard
to SEEK REFUGE under His wings
instead of just watching from the middle of the barnyard!
We need to leave the ‘barnyard mentality’
and seek refuge under His Wings.
It’s such a different experience
when we see from under the protection
of His Promises and Overruling Power!
Praying that we will forsake the barnyard mentality
and seek refuge under the Wing of His Promise and Protection.
Here are some of the Promises that I take refuge in!:
The trouble of our day is described as labor pangs,
periods of intense issues and periods of relief,
escalating in timing and intensity until a final trouble which will bring about the Birth--
the Kingdom Blessing. 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 (The “Baby”—the New Beginning—will be Beautiful!)
All faithful Christians will have part in this Ministry of Blessing from Heaven with Christ. Revelation 1:5-6
Romans 8:22, 19-21
We are on the threshold of a New Beginning for ALL PEOPLE. I Corinthians 15: 22
The old way of doing things must be replaced with a New Heavens--
a Righteous use of spiritual-power through Jesus and His followers, and a New Earth—a loving and righteous society.
What we see now is a shaking of governments and traditions—symbolic earthquakes--
we all live in this earthquake zone!!
This shaking prepares the way for the Desire of all People—for true Freedom and Peace.
Haggai 2:7, 2 Peter 3:10,13
The end result will be a new beginning
“The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall like down with the goat
…and a little child shall lead them.” Isaiah 11:7
The animal-like aggression in the heart of man will healed,
and animal the literal animal kingdom will also come to live in harmony.
People will be led according to the innocent qualities of children.
“They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain:
for the word of the LORD will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.” Isaiah 11:9
“Nation will not lift up sword against nation, and never again will they learn war.” Isaiah 2:4
“And this is in harmony with God’s merciful purpose for the government of the world
when the times are ripe for it--
the purpose which He has cherished in His own mind of restoring the whole creation
to find its one Head in Christ; yes, things in heaven and things on earth, to find their one Head in Him.”
Ephesians 1:8-10 Weymouth
