#517 Red Sea Advice Exodus 14.10-16 Part 1
We all have Red Sea Challenges, and at times we have Red Sea Relationships, which present to us the appearance of Impossible to get through or to deal with.
We need to guard our hearts for these times when conflict and sudden challenge appear!
The challenge: Israel saw the Egyptians were marching after them. Exodus 14.10
The reaction: They were terrified; they cried out to the LORD in fear; they found someone to blame— Moses. Exodus 14:10-11
The attitude to exercise: Don’t be afraid; stand firm; you will see the deliverance of the LORD will bring you today. The LORD will fight for you. You need only to be still: (#2701: to scratch, engrave, plough, fabricate;) Stop toiling so hard in your thoughts and listen and watch the LORD. Exodus 14:13-14
The action advice: “Tell the Sons of Israel to go forward,” as Moses lifted up his staff over the sea to divide it. Exodus 14:15-16
He already knows and HE has control!
The first thing is to cry out to the LORD IN FAITH when we fear. Philippians 4:6 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving [with gratitude, knowing His answer is in process] let your requests be made known to God.” This is a prayer of confidence.
It can help to identify the experience honestly in prayer:
*This seems like a Red Sea to me.
As we pray we can identify what is in our power and what isn’t:
*What is not in our power: It is not in our power to make the situation disappear, to fabricate a plan on our own, or to control other people and their responses and reactions.
*What is in our power: We can watch, wait and quiet our thinking so we can hear Your voice, and we can go forward in obedience.
There is so much we do not have control over, and there is great blessing to not resist our lack of control, and great blessing to rest in His ultimate power instead!
He is able and willing to work out the outcomes of Highest Blessing!
Focus on what is in our power: our choice to trust and obey.
We will listen to Your voice, obey what You reveal and go forward.
