#715 Remembering Who We Are
I was feeling weary and discouraged and like I needed to reclaim my aliveness in Christ. The LORD reminded me that I was forgetting to define myself through His perspective and Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. And beyond this, various Dear Brethren sent thoughts in time for my birthday…and the LORD used each one to bring revival to my soul.
One card read:
A birthday is the first day Of another lovely year--
A year of new tomorrows That are shining bright and clear…
A year of possibilities As endless as the sky,
A chance to meet the challenges In everything you try…
A birthday is the first day Of a year that’s meant for you
To fill with many hopes and dreams To last an eternity through.
And the Dear Sister added
“Continue to fill the year ahead with the Love and Praise of your Savior!”
A crowning gift was a card from my husband Ben: It is a reminder of the amazing qualities of the new creature that He has crafted within us!
“Made by God
Uniquely Designed [1 Corinthians 12:14-21]
Strategically Gifted, [Romans 12:4-8]
Unconditionally Loved [Romans 8:32
Exceptionally Durable [Philippians 3:13-14]
And Crafted with quality. [1 John 5:4]
What an awesome job God did When He made you!”
“We are His workmanship! Eph 2.10”
O may we remember who we really are in Christ!
And may we remember what a privilege the Gift of Life is, especially the Gift of our Spiritual Life. It is because of these Gifts of Life that we can experience the Love and Depths of our Heavenly Father and our Precious Lord Jesus; it is because of this Gift of Life that we can glorify them come what may, and eventually have part in the ministry of Blessing for all.
