We are imperfect, 1 John 1:8 AND forgiven 1 John 1:9 AND loved—The Father Himself loveth you. John 16:27
Our Precious Savior loves us. “No one has greater love [nor stronger commitment] than to lay down his own life for his friends.” John 15:13 Amplified

Who You Are: A Friendly Reminder from God
Written by Sister Loni Boyd
I know you're nervous;
I know you're scared.
You are striving to do something
For which you don't feel so prepared.
I know you're worried.
I know this is uncharted territory
And it is going to be an uphill battle.
And the truth is: No guts no glory.
The cynics and the critics gather round
And the pessimists are drawing near
The so-called realists and just plain fatalists
Will look at you and sneer.
They will scoff and tell you that you can't
With words like impossible; insurmountable,
The odds are not necessarily in your favor
And you alone are held accountable.
“Maybe you should give up,” they'll say,
"Give in, and stop trying.
Perhaps the whole thing is just
Too difficult; too terrifying.
After all who do you think you are?
Why try? What makes you so much better?
When it comes to merit and forgiveness,
You actually fall in the category of debtor.”
We'll here's a little news flash, kid,
Lightning bolt and burning bush style:
I didn’t choose you because you're special.
You're special because I said you're worth my while.
I'm here to remind you exactly who you are.
You are my creation, in whom I do delight.
I knit you together before you were born,
And I am watching over you every day and night.
You are under my Divine protection
And who I am, by the way,
Is the Almighty Creator of the universe
So please believe Me when I say:
Nothing, no, NOTHING can come to you,
Can even come near to your sight
Unless I allow and overrule it
And deem that it will be all right.
There is no height I cannot climb
To reach you with my hand.
There is no storm or sweeping wind
Which I cannot command.
There is no depth I cannot reach
To rescue and protect you.
If I allow lessons and consequences
It's because I love and will correct you.
I could have chosen from all of creation.
I called to you, and I don’t regret it!
You are my cherished precious child:
That's who you are! Please try not forget it.
Especially when they come to tell you
That you're not going to make it.
When they tell you that you don’t have
The power to push through or to take it.
Because in a way, you have to admit
They are right…you don’t have a clue.
All alone on your own, you don’t have
What it takes for what there is to do.
But you have something beyond yourself,
Something of inconceivable worth
Far greater than any force or power
Imaginable on the face of this earth.
You have Me!
I am your God,
By your side
Against every odd.
You are my chosen vessel;
My beautiful shooting star.
I am with you always and forever,
That is who you are!
