#534 Run through the Open Door Revelation 3.7-8
“…He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens says this: ‘I know your deeds. Behold I have put before you an open door which no one can shut…” Revelation 3:7-8
Jesus opened the door of opportunity for a mighty work in the Philadelphia phase of the Reformation Church. He had power and authority to open the door of opportunity in the reformation work, and he had power and authority to shut the door, overruling the limitations of that work.
There is a lesson we can apply to our lives through these verses. There are many doors that he opens for us. We can look at the door as the day that lies ahead of us, or as the challenge that suddenly appears. We cannot see what lies behind the door. But any door of the unknown he opens is an opportunity to trust and go forward in confidence.
When I felt too tired and overwhelmed in the midst of an opportunity that he provided, these verses led me to hear his voice in my experience empowering me to run forward:
My yoke of love is beneficial and my burden of task is light because of that love.
Matthew 11:28-30
Do whatever you do out of love.
Choose to do what I have opened the door for you to do because you love me!
I, Your Beloved am the one who has opened this door for you!
Run through that door and meet me on the other side!
I can't wait to bless you once you go through that door!
