#680 Separate the Precious from the Worthless
I was in the middle of an employee challenge and my mind kept gravitating toward the possible negative outcomes. In prayer, it helped me to confess: ‘I know there is good in this difficult situation. Help me look for the Good You intend. Help me to Look for YOU in this experience.’
“Therefore, thus says the Lord [to Jeremiah],
‘If you repent [and give up this mistaken attitude of despair and self-pity],
then I will restore you [to a state of inner peace]
so that you may stand before Me [as My obedient representative];
And if you separate the precious from the worthless
[examining yourself and cleansing your heart from unwarranted doubt concerning My faithfulness],
you will become My spokesman. Let the people turn to you [and learn to value My values]--
but you, you must not turn to them [with regard for their idolatry and wickedness.]’ “
Jeremiah 15:19 AMP
"CONSIDER HIM" .... how our Lord endured various trials and oppositions of sinners against himself.....he did not consider them as being merely from the individual with whom they originated, but as being.....under the supervision of the Father. ....So it is with us..... In proportion as we are able to take our Lord's viewpoint in our experiences in life, we may be calm. 4802
We can dwell in the precious truth, rather than the worthless old thinking!
The precious truth is:
This experience is From Him.
He is the God of Constant Blessedness, highest growth and blessing always the intended result.
SURELY goodness and Chesed Covenant Love and Affection
are pursuing us, all the days,
and in every moment of our life, including the ‘messy moments!’
Psalm 23:6 AGAIN!
Dear Lord, empower us to separate the precious from the worthless
and to dwell in You and what is Precious.
