Spiritually, What are We on the Verge of?
We are not on the verge of the "Last Days", we are in the "Last Days". There are lot of things still to happen and there are plenty of scriptures to describe it.
Zechariah 12 and 14 as well as Jer 30, Ezekiel 38 and 39 and a whole bunch of Isaiah chapters describe events that will happen to Natural Israel, such as Psalm 83 event which precedes the Gog from Magog (Armageddon, Jacob's Trouble, end of the Great Tribulation) event which ushers in the Kingdom.
Then there is what goes on in the Christian world: The vitalization of the False Prophet (the Ordinariate) and then the Man of Sin (Papacy/the Beast).
This will result in the separation of the wheat from the tares as well as the Wise Virgins from the Foolish Virgins.
The Raising of the Sleeping Saints occurs about this time as well. (This is the Epiphania stage of the Parousia)
The Completion of the Bride of Christ--when the Wise Virgins go through the door and its shut for the Marriage of the Lamb.
The Loosing of the Fallen Angels which bring on the Great Tribulation
The Fall of Babylon (the Papacy/Breast)
The death of the Scapegoat class (Great Multitude) Who don't make the wedding, but are promised to go to the marriage feast.
Jacob's Trouble and Jacob being saved out of it (See Dan 12:1; Isa. 4:3, and Jer 30, Ezekiel 39, as well as 37 the valley of dry bones--this is when the bones get the breath)
Then the Kingdom which all Christians pray for. This is the Apokalupsis stage of the Parousia.
