#358 Step by Step Escape from Stress Psalm 119.133
“Order my steps in thy word; and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” Psalm 119:133
I have been gone for a little over a week, greatly blessed to attend two Bible Conventions on two weekends and to and spend the days in between with a dear Sister in Christ for study and to experience the Rockaway Beach of Oregon.
I knew that returning to work and regular life would be full of ‘catching up.’ It was tempting define my experience in foresight as ‘hectic and overwhelming.’
But the LORD has shown me a higher truth.
In Christ I can create being “Step by Step Integrity.”
In Christ there is just the next one step. There may be many steps ahead, but I am fully focused on the next one step with him.
In Christ there is no such thing as interruption—just the next one step.
So when someone comes to my office to talk with me and I am in the middle of a project,
of coarse I have time for them.
This is the next one step that He has established for my life.
When we surrender to His will and word in each next step we are walking with Him in holiness.
Tonight after my second day back at work I am tired, but I am NOT Stressed!
Like one of my best friends used to say: “Inch by inch life’s a cinch. Yard by yard, life is hard.”
“The steps of man are established by the LORD; and He delights in his way.” Psalm 37:23
I wonder if this could also be read:
‘The steps of man are established by the LORD, and he delights in His way.’
When we let Him direct our lives step by step He delights in our walk, and we delight in His path.
Because God orders our steps,
We can always be assured that there is enough time in each day
to do His will.
He sets the pace. He is never anxious.
His purpose if for us to move in rest,
live in peace, abound in joy, and depend totally on Him
to accomplish though us all He desires.

There is more than enough time, energy and inspiration to do all that He wants me to do!
