#398 Stop and Savor His View Psalm 18.33
In the Season of remembering our Precious Savior, and the intensified experiences that prepare our hearts for this honor, and the introspective search for leaven in our hearts and that it be removed…
Let us remember to Stop and Savor the view.
"When climbing up a steep hill one is often more conscious of the weakness of their stumbling feet than of the view, the grandeur, or even their upward progress. Persevere, persevere. Love and laugh. Rejoice."
Lord open our eyes to see the Grandeur of Your View!
“He makes my feet like hinds’ feet, NASB
he enables me to stand on the heights.” (NIV) Psalm 18:33
I tend to focus on the challenging terrain of life’s experience or I tend to focus on each next step in Christ. But He reminds me to Stop and Savor His view; to rejoice in the Beauty of the terrain, and how He got me to this high place; to be in awe of our partnership and companionship, so empowered to get to these heights through God imparted agility and balance.
We need to look at where we are by His Grace, and how we got here.
The mountain terrain and jagged rocks and high precipices were our obstacles. But from His View every terrain of challenge has its Beautiful Intent. And from this higher Ground we see experience in the Valley from a higher standpoint. We see His big picture, and the breadth of His Love, the depth of His wisdom, and the view is breathtaking.
This was undoubtedly part of our Master’s meditations throughout his ministry and in his last days. “Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.” Psalm 116:7
“…for the LORD has been good to you.” Tanakh
Take time to Stop and Savor His view. Our Ebenezer stones are taken from this terrain of life experience. 1 Samuel 7:12
