#441 The Amazing Privilege of Being Coached by the Most High God
I got temporarily caught in the mire of guilt over the effect of some difficult business decisions I made. I had prayed for guidance and did what I saw to do at the time. But in hindsight I was skewering myself over how I might have carried out the decisions in a way that might have had less difficult impact on others. And I sought Him for His Wisdom and perspective.
His answer included:
This is a matter in my Circle of Influence, a care and distraction to cast or propel into His Hand.
1 Peter 5:7
As part of my Circle of Influence the matter was an opportunity to adjust my attitude to match one being coached by the Most High God! Hebrews 12:5-10
What a privilege to be coached and trained by the Father of our spiritual life for the purpose of living in the fullness of Life! Hebrews 12:9
It was an opportunity to learn important awareness and perhaps to take further action according to His leading, amid praise for the lessons and whatever the outcome He overrules for good!
Ephesians 5:15 Walk circumspectly, with consideration for all that is pertinent.
I found this question very powerful:
How does the unfathomable Love and Wisdom of God deal with this situation?
How does the Father of unfailing Love and Wisdom look at us in this situation?
He has compassion on us. He understands our limitations. Psalm 103:13-14
And He loves us too much to leave us there.
“He does it [disciplines us] for our certain good, in order that we may become sharers in His own holy character.” Hebrews 12:10 Weymouth
He longs for our Highest Good and for the spiritual intimacy only attainable through holiness.
In every phase of training, in every time of new awareness of sin and the pain of regret or oversight, may we realize the inestimable privilege of having The God that Inhabits eternity as our loving Father. Isaiah 57:15
His training “has quietly produced the fruit of real goodness in the characters of those who have accepted it in the right spirit.
So tighten your loosening grip and steady your wavering stand.
Don’t wander away from the path but forge steadily onward.
On the right path the limping foot recovers strength and does not collapse.”
Hebrews 12:11-13 Phillips
