#629 The Answer to Anxiety Part 3
“The answer to anxiety is not control, but surrender to our Sovereign God.” Max Lucado
Instead of devising our own plan, or listening to the influence of worldly thinking, may we trust that there is great power in aligning ourselves in True Heart Alliance with Him!
“Devise a plan, but it will be thwarted;
State a proposal, but it will not stand,
For God is with us.
For thus the LORD spoke to me with mighty power
and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying, (NASB)
You must not call (declare, assert, avow) conspiracy (unlawful alliance)
All that that people calls conspiracy,
Nor revere what it reveres,
Nor hold it in awe.” (Tanakh) Isaiah 8:10-12
Don’t let the fear of the world delude us into an ‘unlawful alliance’ that relies on our own way,
and on our own control of things.
We can revere our own control, perceptions and opinions when we surrender and bow down to them in our hearts and our actions…or we can bow down to Him and surrender to His will.
May HE be the object of our supreme reverence and awe.
“None but the LORD of Hosts
Shall you account holy;
Give reverence to Him alone,
Hold Him alone in awe.” (Tanakh) Isaiah 8:13;
“…do not fear their intimidation, and do not be troubled,
But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts,
Always ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account
For the hope that is in you…”
1 Peter 3:14-15
We are empowered to deal with fear and control when we set Christ apart as THE Lord and authority of our life, and when we focus on the truth of the reason behind the hope that we live for—the amazing sacrifice of our Precious Savior and the surety of the Promises of the Father based on that sacrifice.
