#490 The Craftsmanship of His Workmanship in us Psalm 139.11-17
Psalm 139:11-12 No extreme of night-experiences is hidden from Him. He sees everything that affects our lives. Day and night are alike to Him…He has excellent Night Vision!
He has given us powerful assurance of His involvement, craftsmanship and artistry in the details of our spiritual growth, recorded in the following verses. The literal formation of the child in the womb is a picture of the hidden development of the new creature. The end result is spirit birth. The process that leads to this birth, as well as the birth itself is miraculous and amazing.
Verse 13 “It was you who created my conscience;” Tanakh You created my inmost thoughts and desires; You cover, protect and entwine me in the womb of the Covenant. We are entwined and protected through the Promises and Commitments of His Covenant! 2 Peter 1:3-4
Verse 14 “I praise You, for I am awesomely, wondrously made; Your work is wonderful; I know it very well.” Tanakh We are YOUR workmanship. Ephesians 2:10
Verse 15 You saw my frame, the strength of the spiritual life You created when I was made in secret, unseen by others, when I was skillfully wrought (#7551 embroidered) in the depths of the earth, the womb of the Covenant. Exodus 35:30-35 gives us insight into the ability necessary behind the work of the embroider Bezalel. It takes the spirit of God, working through Christ, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge and in all craftsmanship. With such skill and artistry, He weaves and embroiders this developing new life…
Verse 16 “Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all were written, in continuance were fashioned [the days, see NASB] when as yet there was none of them.” KJV Your eye of wisdom sees me in this unfinished state. And in Your book, the days, the experiences from sunrise to sunset are recorded—You note the experiences that squeezed and moulded us like the work of a Potter #3335). You knew ahead the depth of need and work that would be necessary.
Verse 17 “How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!” ESV The embroidery (verse 15) and weaving of Experience and Truth and Felllowship create a network of spiritual systems, that like veins, arteries and capillaries transport the Breath of Spiritual Life—spiritual oxygen, to every part of the body, on an individual level and as the one Body of Believers. Ephesians 4:15-16
How precious the assurance of His amazing ability!
Our present experience, though not fully understood, is part of His amazing weaving to complete the development of our spiritual life!
