#439 The Heart of Deliverance Romans 15:5
So grateful for a verse that points out the key to harmonious relationships with one another and with people in general. It is my theme text for the year.
“Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: that ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.” Romans 15:5-7
Paraphrase:
The God of patience (#5281) and consolation (#3874)
The God who cheerfully endures and trains and comforts and pleads with us for our good
Grant you to be likeminded one toward another
empowers us to have this mindset toward each other
according to Christ Jesus
according to the anointed one who delivers people from sin.!!!
This work of deliverance requires the cheerful endurance and patience and the Heart of a Trainer-Coach!
That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God…
The result of this mindset is a united ability to think and to speak in ways that honor our Heavenly Father
Wherefore (#1351) receive (#4355) ye one another
Through which we can welcome and accept each other
As Christ also received us to the glory of God.
This is not a half hearted welcome and acceptance. It is a love that would lay down life itself for one another.
Our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus are both patient with us in our day to day training.
They have the heart of a Coach-Trainer-Deliverer, rooting us on, working with us on the next step of development, providing new challenges to create the next phase of spiritual coordination. They are CHEERFULLY patient in the ups and downs of this process!
May we claim their cheerful endurance and heart of a deliverer for ourselves in our experiences.
God and Christ are cheerfully patient as they coach us!
May we claim the cheerful endurance and heart of a deliverer, exercising the same cheerful endurance and coaching attitude for one another.
May we work toward having this cheerful endurance and heart of a deliverer
toward all the people that touch our lives.
"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.” John 15:9
"A new command I give you: Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” John 13:34
