#576 The Joy of Wholeheartedness Part 2
Recap:
An undivided heart makes us able to reverence and be in awe of Him as exalted above all and our first priority. This undivided heart creates the joy of wholeheartedness which expresses itself in wholehearted praise. And so we can praise Him with ALL our heart and glorify His Name and Who He Is, forever. And there is reason to wholeheartedly praise Him forever, for His Covenant Affectionate Love is great toward us!!! And He delivers us from every extremity of experience.
Psalm 25:11-13
An undivided heart is wholeheartedly Willing.
“Restore unto me the joy of my salvation; Uphold me with a willing spirit.” Psalm 51:12
When faced with a challenging situation, what joy to surrender to the power of His Holy spirit, letting go of resistance so we can be willing to love, Willing to accept the Cup He pours, Willing to trust, Willing to respond to need; Willing to listen; Willing to speak, Willing not to speak; Willing to love amid conflict; Willing to accept the outcome He allows and overrules.
“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.” Romans 12:11 Slothful comes from the word HESITANT, which can take the form of procrastination. He wants us to be wholehearted in our service and giving and in Life, living in the moment and responding to the moment according to His prompting and will.
“ Be faithful in little and you will be faithful in that which is much.”
He wants us to see whatever “little’ we have as worth giving. Living whole-heartedly in little things is a way to find Joy!
May your day be full of whole-hearted “little” things—which are really Big when we live them Wholeheartedly!
“You hedge me before and behind; You lay Your had upon me.” Psalm 139:5 Tanakh
Your protection surrounds us in the past and present and in each moment. Your hand of power is upon us to lead, protect and strengthen.
YOUR POWER IS UPON ME-- NOT the power of the circumstance!
We wholeheartedly surrender to this power, especially in times when circumstance brings the test of distraction or anxiety. It is a power that we can wholeheartedly trust because that power is wholeheartedly directed by His Faithful and Wise Love.
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God
that He may exalt you at the proper time,
casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7
