#496 The One Next Step Matthew 14.29
I received such a blessing from Matt 14:22-33; hearing this Word speak to my experience by applying the experience that Peter had to my own challenges.
The One Next Step
“Don’t be afraid, it’s me!”
It is YOU, walking on these troubled waters.
I see you and express desire to come near to you.
I hear your voice above the stormy gale.
You bid me to come, to come closer to you on the restless waters of the storm.
You empower me to walk toward you on these very waters
that seem to threaten my life.
I leave my boat of security and I walk toward you, focused on your shining face.
It is enough to look full into your face and to take the one next step.
I know that if my gaze falters and I become distracted by the waves and the wind,
that your hand is immediately there to pull me up.
It is enough to look full into your face and to take the one next step.
I will bless the LORD at all times;
his praise will continually be in my mouth.
