The Path to Peace part 3

Good Morning!
It’s impossible to have peace when I am holding on to fear…
Lord, lead us to choose the ‘perfect peace,’ the complete peace’ that comes from the choice to hold on to HIS stability and faithfulness. Isaiah 26:3
Much Love in Christ,

#201 The Path to Peace Proverbs 4.13 Part 3
“Establish my footsteps in Thy word, and do not let any iniquity have dominion over me.” Psalm 119:133
The path to peace is through each forward step in life established and guided by the Word of God.
“I have directed you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in upright paths. When you walk, your steps will not be impeded; and if you run, you will not stumble. Take hold of instruction; do not let go. Guard her, for she is your life.” Proverbs 4:11-13
When we take the next step according to God’s wisdom and principles it leads to the ability to go forward in our experiences. One way we guard the instruction and principles of God is to think them and then live them.
“When you walk, your steps will not be impeded…” When we walk, taking the next step in obedience to the Word of God, we are able to progress forward. “However hedged in our path seems, it opens out as we go forward” {in obedience}. Boulanger
“You cannot think through spiritual confusion to make things clear; to make things clear, you must obey…As soon as we obey, we have discernment….” O Chambers
When we feel “stuck” the issue may be an area of disobedience. Obedience begins in the thoughts. When we focus on the unknown, and the sometimes overwhelming feeling of uncertainty, we are missing the TRUTH that HE KNOWS and that He is willing to lead us step by step. Fear paralyzes progress and results in stagnation. Confidence in His Word and its leading power as well as confidence in His well timed providences creates the ability to go forward. We consider all options and possibilities in partnership with God. We trust Him in the process of not knowing.
Trust in God is one of the most powerful acts of obedience and make it possible to take the next one step of action.
It can be helpful to pray prayers of confidence:
It can be helpful to ask this question: “Lord, what is the one next step?”
It can be helpful to state these declarations of faith:
“I know that You will show me the next one step.”
“I know that you will open my eyes to the next step of trust and the next step of action, Lord.”
“I know that You will reveal the next step of obedience.”
“Take hold of instruction; do not let go. Guard her, for she is your life.”
What are we holding on to? What are we refusing to let go of? Our fears of what is and what may be? Our own agenda and way of doing things?
Or are we tenaciously holding on to our trust and confidence in the leadings of our Heavenly Father?
Holding on to fear and resistance is death. Holding on to the wisdom of God’s will and welcoming His next step is life.
