#593 The Source of all Encouragement
There may be times when we don’t feel supported by some that are close to us. This is part of the ebb testing of our relationships.
Again we cast our care upon Him with the intention of leaving it there.
Again Psalm 62:1 , 2 HE ONLY is our source of deliverance, our stability, our stronghold…Psalm 62:8 We pour out our heart before Him, and then we wait in silence to listen…for our expectation is from HIM. Psalm 62:5
And part of what we hear is that HE finds the best way to support us.
It may come from unexpected places.
Instead of insisting that our help and support come from this one or that one, we can look for all the ways He is choosing to give us strength and support and realize how truly blessed we are!
As we listen we may also hear how we may not have given support that was needed to this one or that one. We all desire to be there for one another, and we all fall short.
Be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:2-3 NIV
”Accept life with humility and patience, making allowances for each other because you love each other. Make it your aim to be at one in the spirit, and you will inevitable be at peace with one another.” Philipps
We know that the source of true help is not through earthly methods or attempts to control.
“Assyra will not save us,
We will not ride on horses;
nor will we say again, ‘Our god,’ to the work of our hands;
For in Thee the orphan finds mercy.” Hosea 14:3
In times when we may feel vulnerable and alone, mercy—tender affection, deep love and compassion—are found in HIM “He only is my rock and my salvation” Psalm 62:2
May we share this confession of surrender to HIM alone as the only source of our stability and deliverance. ALL encouragement and support ultimately comes from Him (2 Corinthians 1:2-3) according to His “mercy,” His Chesed Covenant Love and Affection, in His way and according to His timing. Psalm 23:6; 1-5
