#434 This is who I am Ephesians 2.10
Claiming the mindset of Deliverance in Christ made it possible to navigate through uncertainty…
There is great perspective when we surrender our thinking to the anointing power of the holy Spirit, to be a force for the anointed cause of Deliverance. Lord, Help us think about whatever daunting issue we face with the mindset of Deliverance.
In talking with my nephew who is part of the National Guard, I asked him if he gets anxious during life and death situations that he experiences. In our discussion he mentioned three points which boil down to:
This is my job. I’ve been trained for it. This is who I am. I love the spiritual counterpart of these thoughts.
This is my job: We are His workmanship, created for good works both now and in the future privilege of blessing all our human family. Ephesians 2:10 We have been called to bear his truth and principles in all of our daily encounters now and in our future ministry. “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9
I’ve been trained for it.
“He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; He enables me to stand on the heights.
He trains my hands for battle; My arms can bend a bow of bronze. You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; You stoop down to make me great.” Psalm 18:33-35
He equips us for every terrain of experience. He empowers us to stand in His Higher Ground Perspective.
He has trained us to deal with spiritual warfare and the conflicts of life. He sustains us through every challenge. His love from the heights of heaven has made us able to be victorious.
This is who I am.
We are empowered by His spirit to receive deliverance from Him, and we are empowered by this spirit to convey a blessing of deliverance to others, even if it is only a glimpse of the freeing power of truth and trust. “You are the salt of the earth.” Matthew 5:13 “You are the light of the world.” Matthew 5:14-16
We are part of the body of Christ, and as such we are anointed to deliver.
The purpose of being anointed is stated in Isaiah 61:1-3. Deliverance in our own lives, and in the lives of our Brethren, our Brethren to be, and all the human family is the theme and cause for which we stand.
What a blessing to identify with this as ‘who we are’ in the midst of present challenges, when fear comes into our thinking. We are His Deliverance!
This mindset boils down to letting go of preoccupation with the power of the problem through focus and confidence in the greater power of HIS work of deliverance in us.
