Now don’t get me wrong. The planet earth is absolutely beautiful. I have never run into a truly bad person in all our travels. This world has a lot of amazing things to offer I am going to narrow my stinkage down to the US, since that is where most of my ire will be focused.
I think this is the best country in the world to live, and not that I have lived anywhere else to compare it either. I have a wonderful life. I retired at 40 when we moved to Alabama, and have been enjoying it ever since. I get up in the morning, take care of my babies, fiddle around doing whatever the rest of the day and end the day by taking care of my babies again. I have no worries that someone is going to break into my house and try and harm us. My biggest worry is that some stray dog will come and harm my babies and then we will have to kill it.
We don’t watch the news. I used to see the news when I opened up my browser, but now that I have a new computer, I don’t know how to make it come up, so I wait till someone says “What do you think about what is going on here?” So you might ask, what does any of this have to do with the Stinking World?
I hear a lot of comments about how the country would be better if so and so were in office or if they do this or that political thing. We can bring this country back to its glory and all will be well. I say hogwash!
The problem with this country isn’t the current administration, nor even the one before it. They are all the same, just different faces, but the story doesn’t change.
The problem with this nation and the world as far as that goes, is much much deeper. The source of all the World’s woes is plain greed.
If you don’t think so, I would recommend a few videos: Food Inc., Future of Food, Vanishing of the bees, King Corn, and probably a host of other documentaries that I don’t even know about. I hate watching those shows, because they make me sick to my stomach, they make me angrier than all get out, and all you can do about it is shake your head.
Governments are just people, corrupt people, but people nonetheless. What we have done to our planet is unforgivable. I’m not talking about global warming, but global poisoning.
I am 44 years old, and when I was growing up, I never knew anyone with peanut or nut allergies. Now everyone has it like it’s the new fad. What is up with that?! Poison that is what is up.
Our food is poisoned at the genetic level, so that it kills or sickens the humans, is decimating the world bee population, and even killing and making sterile our livestock. There is not one thing on this planet that we have not poisoned. In one documentary you will see how we have messed up hay so that it has hardly any nutritional value and causes cows to spontaneously abort if they conceive at all. What is wrong with people? In the bee movie you will see a beekeeper, the largest beekeeper in the world, who lost all his fifty thousand hives. This hits me where I live. I raise these creatures and I cannot imagine the selfishness and insanity that leads people to do this.
I was sickened when I found out that commercial beef is fed chicken poop. We stopped feeding commercial beef dead cows because it gave them “mad cow disease.” But so ok, let’s feed them chicken poop, it’s good for them!!!! Oh, and let’s not forget the cats and dogs they collect from local vets and add them in there too. Don’t worry they were euthanized first. And also don’t forget that amongst all that chicken poop which is ladened with antibiotics out the ying yang, are dead diseased chickens, because chicken houses are so packed with chickens that they have to daily pick out the dead ones. So the next time you go to McDonalds and down your Value poop burger think of me!
Last year, Brendan and I had a literature book at a local fair and the lady we were camped next to happened to be a federal chicken inspector. She wasn’t selling dead chickens, but paintings that she had made. I went to get something to eat and came back with the cheapest thing I could find, two hotdogs from the Civitan booth for $1.50 each. She says to me, “You’re not going to eat that are you?” I looked at her and said whatever it is you have to tell me, tell me after I eat it. She graciously waited then informed us that as a federal inspector she is only required to inspect one chicken per three million. She said the chickens that they see are so full of sores and pus. They cannot walk and so sit on those sores and the infection goes through the skin into the meat. But that is OK , we shoot them full of antibiotics and that makes it better. She also said, never ever eat a chicken hotdog. They use that pus skin to make them. I always knew hotdogs were lips and butts, but this is worse.
We see those poor chickens all the time. Tractor trailers loaded with cages full of those half dead birds. I have raised these very same birds, but mine have no pussage, and can walk. This year a couple of them went lame on me and we had to cull them early. These birds were designed to live only short little lives. They grow so fast, their bones cannot keep up with them (and that is without hormones and antibiotics). Some of the sweetest chickens I had were these Cobb chickens which are Cornish Rock crosses.
Have you ever seen cattle on a feed lot? I have. Acres and acres of pens crowded with cows up to the ankles in poop and not a blade of grass anywhere for miles. I hated to look. These animals are fed corn byproducts and on King Corn, one guy makes a comment as he is eating his poop burger, that they have to kill these cows after a short while because the diet they have them on will kill them anyway.
Did you know that livestock consumes 70% of the antibiotics in the US? America’s favorite meat-hamburger is fat disguised as meat. It gets 65% of its energy calories from fat. A T-bone from these grain/poop fed cows contain 9 grams of fat, whereas grass fed beef only has 1.3 grams of fat.
I have ranted enough I think. You probably thought I should have stopped a page ago, but it kind of bothers me when so many want to save this country. There is no saving of this country or any other. We are told that a Great Time of Trouble is coming such as there never was. I say bring it on, we so deserve it.
For ten acres of vineyard will produce only six gallons, and ten bushels of seed will produce only one bushel." (Isa 5:10 )
Oh, no! For the Day of the LORD approaches, and like destruction from the Almighty, it will come! Isn't our food supply cut off right in front of us, along with joy and gladness from the Temple of our God? Seeds shrivel within their furrows, the storehouses lie empty, and granaries stand in ruins because the grain has withered. Oh, how the livestock groan! The herds of cattle wander about because they have no pasture. Even flocks of sheep suffer! (Joe 1:15-18)
God isn’t causing this trouble, but He will not stop it until justice is served. We have done this to ourselves. Man cannot leave anything alone until he has ruined it. The Politics of a nation are nothing compared to a poisoned earth. We can live under tyranny, but not when we have to drink their Kool Aid too.
God informs us that if He did not put a stop to what we have done, no flesh would survive. I thank Him that He will do it. And I pray His kingdom come when His will is done on this earth and not mans.
