#374 Thoroughly Known John10.14
Couldn't sleep this at 2am cause my brain alarm was tripped when I thought about some challenging work scenarios to be faced. I prayed and recalled some thoughts from scripture.
John 10:14 The Good Shepherd knows [#1097—absolutely knows; Vines: understands completely] his sheep; and his sheep know [#1097 absolutely know] him.
“Ginosko” frequently indicates a relation between the person knowing and the object known; in this respect, what is known is of value or importance to the one who knows, and hence the establishment of the relationship, e.g., especially of God’s knowledge. Vines
I have the assurance that I am absolutely known by my Shepherd!
And I have the privilege of absolutely knowing the heart of my Shepherd!
Lead me Lord, to grow to know his heart more and more.
It is powerful to personally claim scripture in the present tense:
'I am seeking the Lord and He is answering me and delivering me from all my fears' Psalm 34:4
“He is reaching down from on High and taking hold of me; he is drawing me out of deep waters.
He is rescuing me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.’ Psalm 18:16-17
There at 2 o’clock in the morning the Lord gave me great comfort and assurance as words to a song-to-be came to my heart and calmed my spirit:
I praise You amid the Unknown
For I know Who You Are in this storm
You are my Knowing, my Savior, my Lord,
My Rock and my Refuge, my Armor my Sword
I am thoroughly known; I am thoroughly blessed
I am thoroughly loved; You are my rest.
