#537 We Will Continue to Praise Him in the Midst of Every Circumstance
Psalm 42:5 Part 2
“The LORD WILL command His lovingkindness in the daytime;
And His song WILL be with me in the night, a prayer to the God of my life.” Psalm 42:8
The LORD
How can we continue to praise Him in the midst of every experience?
Because we know HIM. He is a God who keeps his Promises.
Will command His lovingkindness in the daytime and His song will be with me in the night
And He has promised to COMMAND His lovingkindness—His Covenant Love and Affection—amid our days.
He has promised that His song will be with us in the night.
That means His Lovingkindness and His song—the melody in our hearts that gives us a reason to sing and praise—is continually with us. This song of Faithful Love is with us in the symbolic days of obvious blessing and in the nights of experience when it is harder to see the blessing.
A prayer to the God of my life
He commands His Checed Lovingkindness to be continually in action. This Song of Checed Lovingkindness is thereby given to us to sing to Him in praise, and this song becomes a prayer to the God who sustains our spiritual life.
