Whatever You Do

Good Morning!
A dear Sister shared these thoughts with me:
I have realized that tasks like doing dishes and housework are things I grumble about in my heart…then I realized that if I changed my attitude the task wouldn’t be such a chore. When I realized how blessed we are to have hot running water, instead of having to haul water and heat it, I was humbled. And we actually HAVE a house to clean, unlike so many unfortunate people on the planet! It’s only taken 59 years for me to figure this out! HA May the Lord bless you today! J Holly
May the Lord bless us in all the attitudes we choose in all the ‘whatevers’ we do….
Much love in Christ,
Joy
#197 Whatever you do Colossians 3.23
These thoughts made me think about really taking to heart the verse:
“Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as to the Lord and not to men…” Colossians 3:23
Heartily: 5590 psuche: the soul, life, “doing the will of God from the heart.” (Ephesians 6:6)
EK PSUCHE: from the soul
Whatever you do, do your work FROM THE SOUL: with all the life that is in you; do whatever you do from the new creature: whatever you do, do it with newness of life, since you are walking in newness of life!
“…knowing that from the Lord you shall receive the recompense of the inheritance, for you serve the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:24 Strong’s Interlinear
Realize that you are serving the Lord (to whose authority you have surrendered)
Christ (the anointed One, whose anointing power you share in.)
Clarify where your true fulfillment and reward comes from: “knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.”
Chose to be a washer of dishes for Christ, a bookkeeper for Christ, a mother for Christ, a father for Christ, a bus driver for Christ…
I will clean up this room for Christ. I will talk to this employee for Christ. I will face this temptation for Christ.
