What is Biblical Faith?
Mankind has a built in faith. If you look around you see man feels the need to believe in something bigger than themselves and that is why idol worship became popular. In our modern day (starting with the French Revolution) it has been increasing popular to deny faith and cling to atheism. Faith takes work, one can loose their faith. It is faith in truth, not blind unbelief. You must know what and why you have faith in God and His Word.
Heb_11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Rom_10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Rom_12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Act_14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Luk_22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Rom_4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
Biblically our faith can grow and can be added to.
Luk_17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
2Co_10:15 Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,

Faith is a powerful tool in the armament of the Christian--it is our shield and it protects us.
Mat_17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Gal_3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Gal_3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
Eph_2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph_6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

The word "faith" is used 247 times and not all in the same way. Above I have given a few examples, but it goes much deeper and broader than that. It touches everything we do, hope for and believe.
