You clearly don't understand the whole calling to be a Christian, that's OK because most Christians don't either.
But, you are correct in that it is a job offer. It is likened to a race, and we have to finish the race in order to get the job. So Christians are Kings and priest in training--if they don't cut the mustard, they don't get the job.
That is why many are called and few are chosen.
Many who call themselves Christians only talk about seeing their families in heaven or think they get to read good books and sculpt--they are clueless and obviously have not read their Bibles and they are not going to get the job.
Many pray the Lord's prayer and have no clue what the Kingdom is or what it will accomplish.
If you don't know what the job is, how can you properly train?
