Why are dogs not allowed in heaven according to the Bible?
Interesting question, but I know of no scripture that says what is and isn’t in God’s heaven. God doesn’t live in a black hole—He doesn’t even live in this Universe—He created it and lives outside of it. We have no idea of what is in His world—except that Jesus is there and the angels. And as Christians, we hope that we also will be there with Him.
God gave us beauty and variety—Why? We are created in His image (well, Adam was), and we appreciate these things—so does God.
Since none of has been there—we can only speculate—getting lost in speculation is a waste of time, but I see no reason why there are no Animals, trees, lakes and things like that in God’s world.
Now, to address another point.
Our pets do not go to heaven.
Jesus did not die for Spot. He died specifically and only for Adam (and us through Adam)—that is called the “ransom” in scripture. A “corresponding price”.
The blood of bulls and goats did nothing except to show us how the ransom works.
As in Adam all die, so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Cor. 15:22
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Rom. 5:12
See these scriptures on the Ransom
Hos_13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
Mat_20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Mar_10:45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
1Ti_2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
Jesus died to save mankind by ransoming Father Adam (because we were all in Adam when he sinned)—it only needs to be a one for one. A life for a life.
For those that think their pets go to heaven—why not my pets? Why not my goats and sheep? Why not all the unwanted dogs and cats that fill the shelters or get eaten in China alive? Or the ones that are constantly dumped off near my house? Where does it stop?
If you read the Bible, you have the answer—heaven is not filled with thousands of years of dogs, cats, parrots, sheep, goats, donkeys, horses and iguanas. Jesus did not die to save them!
Treat them nice—because this is the only life they get.
Thankfully we have a hope beyond this life and the scriptures are abundantly clear on this matter.
