There will be more than one End Time battle.
Mankind will be battling among themselves with whatever weapon they can find.
In Jacob's Trouble--the every end of the Great Tribulation--the hordes from the North will use what they find. The trouble will be so bad, I would have to say commerce would have stopped at some point before--so ammo would have to be what was found as they rioted and looted and murdered on their way. But that is only one way to kill a person--it will probably be more hand to hand combat as time goes on.
That is one side of the trouble. But we are told that the fallen angels will be loosed during the Great Tribulation. They don't need weapons and there will be no bunker deep enough to hide from them. Those who are loosed and continue in their evil ways will be bent on destruction. They will be allowed to materialize like they did in Noah's day and humans are no match for them, neither will any human weapon affect them.
